Total Quality Systems (TQS), a business division of AES and a leading provider of engineering services to the DoD and commercial industry, has developed the Decision Support Integrated Environment (DSide) - a combination of classical reliability engineering tools in a single integrated package.
DSide can help you plan reliability tests (sample size and test time), simulate "what-if" scenarios to estimate maintenance costs, estimate system and subsystem reliability, implement and monitor reliability growth plans, and analyze future and present risks. The file management system organizes your reports for a complete and concise decision support information report.
Statistical Distribution
DSide uses classical models and methods to estimate failure statistical parameters. The following models are available: Weibull (two and three parameters) and Log-Normal. The following methods are included: Regression, Maximum Likelihood Estimation (MLE), Hazard, Reliability, and Cumulative Probability. Identify failure modes and parameters such as mean-time-between-failures (MTTF). Identify infant mortality or wear-out life phases.
Test Planning
DSide uses zero/one failure, extended, and binomial methods to determine sample sizes and test durations.
Risk Assessment
DSide performs present and future risk and cost analysis based on product population and failure modes.
Reliability Block Modeling
DSide computes the total system reliability given test results from individual sub-systems. Determine the individual sub-system reliability necessary to achieve projected overall system reliability.
Reliability Growth
DSide supports reliability growth programs. Monitor reliability performance. Plan reliability growth.
Monte-Carlo Simulation
DSide incorporates a Monte-Carlo simulation tool to investigate 'what-if' scenarios. Change failure mode parameters and population distributions. Plan scheduled replacement time. Forecast period and batch occurrences.
File Management System (FMS)
DSide organizes and integrates all reports and data files into a centralized database. Exchange data and information between modules and tools. |
